Increased lifespan
Thanks to the diffusive zinc layer the lifespan of components is increased drastically, even under extreme circumstances.

Deformable & Ductile
Using a thin sherardising-layer, product stay maleable without destroying the zinc layer.
Cathodical protection
The zinc-iron layer acts as an offer-layer, which protects the metallic sub-layers against corrosion.
Temperatureresistant
Layers that have been sherardised stay protected in a range from -40 °C to 600 °C, without risking liquid metal embrittlement

The proces of sherardising is closed, without waste and without toxic fumes. We care about the environment and sustainability
Even layer thickness
The drum process makes sure the zinc-layer is spread evenly, ensuring every shape and corner receives the exact same amount of protection.
Configurable layer thickness
The layer thickness is configurable, ranging from 10 µm until 100 µm and is easily reproduced. This ensures your product always ends up within the given tolerance.
No hydrogen embrittlement
Products that have been sherardised do not suffer from hydrogen embrittlement, ensuring your material maintains its strength.
Wear-resistant & hardness
The shardising layer is roughly 400 HV hard and extremely wear-resistant, ensuring protection remains even in extreme circumstances.
Perfecte adhesion
The microcrystalline surface provides a perfect bonding base for rubberizing, painting, gluing, and vulcanizing.
Sherardising, how does it work?
Technical
Together with our technical specialist (dr.) we review your product and situation. When deemed necessary, we conduct trial series and accelerated corrosion tests to determine the correct approach, layer thickness, and costs.
Sherardising
Sherardising, also known as diffusion galvanizing, happens in the gasphase in temperature-ranges between 300-500 ℃. This creates a zinc-iron alloy that bonds with the metal as a uniform, adjustable layer and protects your product against corrosion for a long time.
SheraTop®-System (optional)
Powder coating, PTFE, or organic topcoat for optimal durability. The combination of a strong basecoat and adhesive topcoat is ideal for demanding environments, such as marine, automotive, or chlorine-containing applications.
